Clown Around
Barrington PTO is proud to host Clown Around 2024 again this year! On Friday, May 17, 2024, we will have fun games and activities available to kids of all ages and invite the families of Barrington students to join the fun after school from 3-5 PM.
This fundraiser is so important to Barrington, as it is one of the school’s primary fundraising events, and 100% of our net proceeds directly benefit our amazing student population. Funds raised help provide resources to enrich the learning environment with tools and programming not covered by the regular School District budget such as field trips and guest speakers, so that all students can have equitable access to the same opportunities.
Our goal is to make Clown Around a FREE EVENT for all Barrington students and families so your support is greatly appreciated! In lieu of selling tickets to the event, we are asking each student to raise $40 or more to help in meeting our Barrington goal of $25,000. We are grateful for any level of financial support you are willing to offer our students. There is no required donation. Additionally, there are other great ways that you can help support!
Sponsorships! Families can also help by sponsoring an activity at the event. If you would like to sponsor the event or donate to Clown Around, please click here. Corporate sponsorships must be submitted by May 1st to be included on signage during the event.
Volunteers! We are in great need of volunteers for Clown Around! Volunteers will work in 1-2 hour shifts. Volunteers can be parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, older siblings, friends. If you are available to volunteer at Clown Around on May 17th, please sign up here.
Baked Goods! If you are willing to donate a baked good for the Cake Walk, please sign up here.
Each week up until the event, students will see how they are tracking towards the school goal of $25,000. If this goal is met, the students will enjoy a free recess full of fun and treats!

Making Tracks for Bobcats 2023
Last year’s Making Tracks for Bobcats event was a HUGE success and everyone loved it! We are excited to repeat this fundraising event on Friday, October 20, 2023. The 1-mile fun walk will take place at Jones Middle School Track. Each classroom will be scheduled throughout the day for their time to walk, enjoy music and a special frozen treat afterwards. Students will also receive a Barrington Bobcats Spirit Shirt to commemorate the event and their participation and reaching our goal! PLUS a fun new photo op experience after the walk!
This event raises money to support additional learning experiences including: guest speakers, field trips, additional external programming and hands-on, authentic experiences for our students at Barrington Elementary School.

An average donation of $35 per student, we will help us reach our goal! We are grateful for any level of financial support you are willing to offer Barrington students.

Election Day Bake Sale
Calling all bakers, treat makers, shoppers & generous community members…
We are gearing up for Election Day on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. We are hosting a bake sale in the Barrington cafeteria to raise money for the PTO. We are in need of baked good & snack donations, financial donations (we can shop for you!) and parent/student volunteers to sell the treats. There will be no school that day, so we strongly encourage your elementary students to join the fun and work the table, practicing their math skills and engaging with our community members. Through the support of the Barrington Parent Teacher Organization* (PTO), funds will be provided so that all students can have equitable access to the same opportunities.
